Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Preventive on Friday recovered huge quantity of opium and arrested two persons at Moachko check point. According to details, the credible information was received that some unscrupulous elements were transporting substantial quantity of drugs to Karachi from Balochistan via land route. Reacting on this information, an Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) of MCC Preventive has started strict surveillance on the said route. Meanwhile, the ASO team during checking of passenger coaches at Moachko check point spotted two persons in Javed Coach, who were travelling from Khuzdar Balochistan.

During physical examination of their luggage, the team has recovered eight kilograms of opium concealed in the hidden cavity of the luggage. Consequent upon recovery, both persons were taken in to custody and case has been registered against them.
